Test/QA Engineer

An exciting opportunity for highly motivated programming/engineering oriented individuals in the field of Data and Image analysis. Activities will include becoming expert in AccuSoft?s VisiQuest product line. Duties will include testing of products, creating automated test procedures, verifying documentation/installations and creating sample programs to illustrate product functions. 

This person will work closely with Engineering, Documentation, Program Management and Technical Support departments, and will participate in projects from early design stages, driving them through to final product release.

Initiative, a drive to learn, eagerness to take on new responsibilities, and attention to detail are all required. Experience/Skills Required: 1-3 years of professional Quality Assurance / Engineering experienceKnowledge of MatLab/Simulink or IDLProgramming experience in C/C++, Perl, MatLab M-CodeExperience with multiple operating systems (Windows, UNIX, Linux, Mac)Familiarity with image file formats or data/image processing desired The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential Proficient oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Strong analytical skills Must be detail oriented Software quality assurance or software development experience preferred Knowledge of DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and DIP (Digital Image Processing) technologyUnderstating of Statistics FundamentalsDesired Education: Degree (BS or BE) in computer science or related field is desirable, equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of education level

Specific tasks will include: Participating in design reviewsDesigning Product Test plansAutomating product regression testingProduct benchmarking Writing and executing interactive testsReporting bugs detectedVerifying fixes and final product validation
