Test System Design Engineer

Quantum Corp. (NYSE:DSS) is seeking a System Design Engineer for test systems.  You will design and develop test systems for magnetic tape heads. Duties will include system architect design; design and development of analog and digital PCBs and related interface software; system de-bug; and calibration and production release. Knowledge of electronic circuit capture, digital signal processing, PCB design and PCB layout software, C/C++, Visual Basic, and VHDL desired.

 

Hardware knowledge requirements are: 

High speed analog to digital converters (ADC) for signal capture and processing. Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), Altera Lattice, etc.

Complex programmable Logic Devices (CPLD).

High frequency Board Layout rules.

PCBA Schematic Layout Tools (Eagle, OrCad, or equivalent). Stepper Motor Controls experience is desirable.

 

Software/Firmware knowledge requirements are:

C/C++, Visual Basic, VHDL (Very High Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Lanuage).

 

Requirements:  BSEE or MSEE or equivalent training and experience. Prefer 2+ years of work experience.
