Job Description:
Texas practice leader for hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) services. Within the H&H practice area, this individual will be responsible for strategic planning, sales, staffing, project performance, and external commitments. Clients focused on public sector local, state and federal. Participate in the continued aggressive growth of HNTB's Texas practice.
This is an Officer-track position. Growth in sales and revenue, strong project performance, and staff size growth to meet project demands are critical factors in determining Officer eligibility.
The following are the duties and responsibilities for the Texas H&H Leader:

Strategic Planning -
Integrate HNTB H&H capabilities into existing client focus approach.

Identify H&H market within Foundation and Strategic Clients and proposed new Strategic Clients.

Participate as client service team (CST) leader or member for select Foundation and Strategic clients.

Identify staffing needs and integrate with marketing approach.

Work with Texas leadership and office leaders to develop strategies to identify, recruit, hire and train future H&H project managers and staff.

Establish an H&H Strategic Plan that documents a plan to grow a strong H&H practice in Texas.

Establish project delivery standards and QA/QC procedures for H&H tasks/projects.

Seek state committee and board assignments with appropriate professional societies

Attend events related to Foundation and Strategic clients.






Job Qualifications:
BS in Civil Engineering with 12+ years of experience with H&H projects, preferably for public sector clients in Texas. Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas. Demonstrated experience in delivering H&H projects of high quality, on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. Demonstrated experience with winning projects and negotiating contracts. Must have good organizational and communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
