Trainer - Technical

General Dynamics Information Technology has an opening for a Sr. Training and Documentation Specialist in Washington, DC. The successful candidate plans, develops and coordinates training programs for personnel and customers. Develops specifications for content of the courses. Prepares lesson plans and obtains training materials, determines methodology and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Updates course documentation on a continuous basis to ensure timeliness and relevance.

Requires Bachelor's degree.

Requires less than 2 years experience.

Experience developing classroom training materials for software applications. Experience training end-users. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Outstanding time management and organization skills. Proven ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment. Proven experience managing customer expectations. Exposure to project management principles preferred on software applications. Experience developing and implementing computer-based training (CBT) courseware.

Develop and deliver courses on program management tools to DHS and USCG clients of the PM Solutions Practice.
Develop and facilitate assimilation program for new hires of practice. Develop documentation for program management tools used by practice.
