Job Description: *Transmission Planning Engineer. The qualified candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Electric Utility Transmission Planning, Bulk Transmission System Planning and expansion planning, including the development, preparation, and implementation of transmission power flow and dynamic stability studies, generation interconnection studies and sub-transmission studies, while making recommendations for the best overall system improvements to the Corporation’s Senior Management.
Qualifications: *BS in Electrical Engineering with power system option and 7+ years experience in system planning, load flow, short circuit and dynamic analyses is required. The qualified candidate will demonstrate proficiency in powerflow simulation software such as PSS/E and command competent financial and economic analysis capability; good interpersonal and analytical skills and effective oral, written, presentation and negotiation skills. Preference will be afforded to candidates with an advanced degree, MBA and/or MSEE and Professional Engineer Registration - PE. Senior level opportunities may be available for outstanding candidates with 10+ years relevant experience and familiarity with ISO/Reliability Council planning criteria; preferably in the northeast.
