Transportation Project Engineer

The ideal candidate will have BS degree in civil or transportation engineering with at least 5 years of experience in transportation projects.  Georgia P.E. (or ability to attain within 6 months) required.  Experience with Georgia Department of Transportation and similar local government projects preferred.  Familiarity with applicable design standards and CAD experience (including MicroStation and CAiCE) as well as an interest/experience in project management desirable.

 

The successful candidate will design and perform project engineer duties for transportation projects.  Duties include the design of transportation facilities including urban and rural reconstruction, minor widening, milling and resurfacing, intersection improvement and utility projects.  Must be knowledgeable of various engineering software applications or have the ability to learn quickly.  Additional responsibilities will include preparing reports, plans, and specifications; researching design standards and code requirements; and conducting field investigation of design problems.
