UI/Application Engineer

The UI/Application Engineer will help drive the design and workflow of innovative software that enable communities of developers to create and implement highly interactive web applications. This is a tremendous opportunity for a UI/Application engineer to work in the next generation of web development and deployment space. The UI/Application engineer will collaborate with product management, and the software development team on workflow and user requirements, and will deliver a consistent overall user experience, an efficient, easy-to-use, and easy-to-learn layout, and an appealing, functional look-and-feel.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

? Build wireframes, mock ups and prototypes for the user interface portions of new features, dialogs, icons and other visual elements in our own Developer Environment

? Come up with innovative new user interface designs and experiences to enable easy user interaction with our Bungeelabs.com website.

? Research new user interface paradigms put into use by a diverse set of developer types and businesses. From Financial to CRM to Social to In-house projects

? Testing developed user interfaces against functional requirements

 

 

Competencies  

 

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

 

? Proven experience as part of a team, rapidly prototyping and developing user interfaces from the concept phase to the product delivery phase

? Excellent DOM Level 2 and object-oriented JavaScript skills

? Strong understanding of usability issues and user-centered design.

? Ability to document, present, and review designs and all code that is developed

? Demonstrable expert knowledge in developing user interfaces for web-based applications

? Solid knowledge and experience with Service-Oriented Architectures, Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, and Design Patterns.

? Experience with Apache and Tomcat or other Web application servers.

? Familiar with cross-browser support issues and solutions.

Education and/or Experience  

? 3-5 Years experience with development environment tools (Visual Studio, Eclipse, Toad etc)

? WSDL/SOAP experience

? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar.

? 6+ years of experience developing user interfaces.

? 4+ years of experience developing Web applications.
