We are seeking UNIX System Administrator to provide UNIX and Windows system administration and security support to a wide variety of operating systems (Sun, Apple, Linux, and Windows). You will be supporting high-performance operational and research computers and networks maintained at the Naval Research Laboratory.

A Bachelor degree or equivalent and 3 plus years of UNIX/Linux system maintenance, upgrade, security and user accounts maintenance experience required. You will also need at least 2 years Windows system maintenance, upgrade, security and user maintenance in a networked environment of at least 10 computers. Knowledge working with networking, file sharing, mounts, system databases (add, remove, change passwords, lock accounts, etc) and Perl, C, shell and shell scripting is essential. Experience in OpenAFS and Kerberos is desirable.
