Urban Land Development -- Sr. Project Manager (P.E.)

One of our best clients, a leading Civil Engineering firm, is looking to hire a Senior Project Manager on a direct, full-time basis to manage and oversee many of their Land Development projects in the Las Vegas area. A detailed job description is listed below.

DESCRIPTION
The person that fills this position will be responsible for the management of one or more civil engineering design teams(s) specializing in Commercial development projects. This person will manage Project Engineers, Civil Designers, Surveyors and CAD Technicians. The types of projects will include retail, mixed-use, multi-family, office parks and master planned communities. Experience managing master-planned community or mixed use development projects is highly desirable.

The duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following: developing and maintaining excellent client relationships, invoicing, reviewing project plans, establishing budgets, writing proposals and project scheduling; mentoring and fostering growth of the design team members; providing technical guidance; working with regulatory agencies and coordinating with other managers within the office. The Senior Project Manager is also responsible for obtaining new work for the design team.

QUALIFICATIONS
-- BSCE or equivalent, advanced degree a plus
-- Minimum of 10 years work experience in civil engineering.
-- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
-- Ability to work effectively in a project team setting.
-- Strong organization skills.
-- Ability to manage several on-going projects.
-- Strong marketing and client development skills
