V-Series Solution Manager

Job Summary:


 


Responsible for driving the technical marketing and supported solutions for the V-Series business unit throughout Netapp and its partners.


 


Essential Functions:


 


1. Organize and deliver training for NetApp channel partners and direct support


a. Architecture and design for successful V-Series complete deployments


b. Array basics needed for V-Series


c. Deployment best practices


2. Drive definition of  complete deployment architectures for V-Series use cases


a. HA SAN, HA NAS, non-HA NAS applications


b. Oracle, Exchange consolidation,  SAP business application focus


c. Storage layout considerations


d. Whole product considerations


e. Array configuration considerations (by vendor)


f. Definition of SOW for implementation service


g. Work with Product Management, engineering, IE, NGS to line up all aspects of complete solutions


h. Drive content of product marketing play books


i. Business analysis and justification of investment for new initiatives


3. Manage ongoing technical field relationships with certified array partners


a. HDS, IBM, HP, EMC


b. Package training material and deliver or drive the delivery of by others


c. Be the point contact for technical field personnel from array partners.


i.  Consult and advise


ii.  Connect them with correct NetApp resources as required


 


Requirements:


 


Deep working knowledge and hands on understanding of storage systems (block storage arrays, NAS), enterprise-scale SANs, and production business applications.  Proven success in documenting detailed customer use cases/applications, and in closing customer opportunities with the sales teams.  Must have proven communication skills, including on-site training delivery and writing skills. 


 


Education:


 


BS or equivalent
