Water / Wastewater Engineer

 

Location:  Boise, Idaho

 

Position Overview:

 

J-U-B Engineers is a leader in water and wastewater treatment in the state of Idaho and is currently planning several complex mechanical water and wastewater treatment plants throughout the state utilizing cutting edge technologies and reuse alternatives.  The Boise position will be an integral part of the corporate Water Resources Group, will lead development of our Treasure Valley operation, and will support the design and implementation of a variety of projects throughout the company.  This position has huge potential for growth in project responsibilities, leadership and development of the local core group, as well as interesting technical challenges.  Your work will be very diverse to include client/project development, funding analysis, facility planning of water and wastewater treatment projects, design, and limited construction engineering.  A desire for career growth and leadership through development of clients and staffing resources is a key to success.  You will collaborate on water and wastewater treatment projects throughout the Northwest and Intermountain West region.  Travel may be required on an as needed basis - less than 10% is expected.

 

Short and long-term activities include?

 Client and Project Management Supervision of design teams consisting of surveyors, designers, drafters and planning support personnel Design of infrastructure related to necessary work and peer review for Quality Control purposes Agency interaction for acquiring needed permits and approvals Schedule and budget management Team partnering and leadership on client marketing efforts Assist in development of corporate design standards

 

To be successful you will need?

 Proven ability to self-direct new projects Proven ability to cultivate client base Bachelor?s degree in Engineering with an emphasis on water/wastewater treatment ? MS preferred Seven or more years of experience in treatment plant planning and design Knowledgeable regarding NPDES, TMDL and current reuse regulations Knowledge of funding alternatives for treatment facilities Client influencing and consensus building skills

 

Salary Range:   $70,000 to $90,000+ commensurate with experience.  J-U-B also offers a yearly performance bonus, a retirement contribution up to five percent of salary, as well as opportunities for company stock ownership.
