EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

?  2 yr degree in Engineering, Distribution or Business Administration; 4 yr degree preferred

 

REQUIREMENTS:

?  3-5 years production supervision or warehouse supervision experience in a multi-shift manufacturing operation.

?  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

?  Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms

?  Ability to understand and communicate company priorities, and how what they do impacts the achievement of these priorities

?  Good interpersonal skills; can easily relate to people

?  Detail-oriented

?  Leadership ability to ensure effective teamwork

?  Decision-making ability to resolve problems and prioritize multiple tasks

?  Ability and willingness to adapt to and help drive change

?  Ability to work any shift plus weekends/holidays as needed

?  Must have math aptitude and ability to grasp concepts of mathematical calculations

?  Computer proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and ERP systems to enter data, complete reports, communicate information, and retrieve data

 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

?  Safety- achieve low OSHA incident rate, enforce PPE, ensure that employees follow all safety procedures and work instructions. Drive 5S in all areas. Investigate, report and act upon any incidents or near-misses and unsafe conditions. Implement corrective measures as needed.

?  Quality- Prevent issues from reaching customers, ensure that load plans and work instructions are adhered to. Make sure that appropriate system checks are in place to prevent shipping/receiving errors.

?  Continuous Improvement- ensure that all employees understand the measurements employed and are aware of the current status, ensure key processes are followed, implement lean manufacturing processes, motivate employees to contribute continuous improvement ideas.

?  Productivity- enforce Standard Work; Review and post production boards on regular basis, understand and explain TAKT time, achieve flexibility to prevent bottlenecks and fill in for absences, and achieve a smooth flow of production.

?  People Management- motivate employees by setting clear expectations and work direction, schedule absences, manage attendance issues, conduct performance reviews, initiate and participate in corrective actions and disciplinary issues, and document all warnings and counseling sessions.

?  Meeting Customer Schedules- coordinating with other areas such as maintenance, customer service, purchasing, human resources, etc, maintaining low lead times, delivering on-time to customers, ensure that necessary materials are present, using established material replenishment procedures, and making customer schedule visible and driving completion of orders..
