Water Resources Engineer

A 12-year old Water Resources Consulting Firm is actively searching for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer/Manager to oversee a growing office in the Washington DC metro area.  SAAD Consultants, P.C. is an established and respected firm that specializes in the following:

 

-Flood Plain Management Studies

-Flood Control

-Earth Dams and Hydraulic Structures

-Hydraulic Design of Culverts and Bridges

-Stormwater Drainage Plans

-Hydrologic/Hydraulic Support for Environmental Studies

 and Stream Restoration

-FEMA Flood Map Revision and Approval

-Bridge Scour Analysis

-Groundwater Wells and Pumping Stations

-Hydraulic Modeling and Dam Break Analysis

-Water Supply and Distribution

-Economics and Financial Feasibility Studies

 

The ideal candidate would have at least an MS in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering (PhD desirable) and strong technical skills in providing water resources services, with at least 7+ years experience in the US.  He/she must also be a registered PE, VA / MD preferred. 

 

This person would assume a leadership role in the company, reporting directly to the president.  Primary responsibilities would include: managing our diverse team of engineers, maintaining our existing client base, initiating and developing new relationships with potential clients, and QA/QC monitoring.  Computer competency a must, with experience using the HEC programs in particular.  Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
