Waveforms Acquisition Manager

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be assigned to the Waveform and Cryptologic Acquisition Division.  However, the candidate will have interaction with all of the other 6 divisions as well.  The candidate will work out of the Rosslyn, Virginia office and will be required to travel to other states within the U.S., where the Waveforms are tested, evaluated and reviewed.  This billet is a fast paced, highly fluid, multi-tasking environment.  The candidate will face frequent program challenges that require a serious dedication to attaining the program's ultimate goal.

 

Candidate will be responsible for managing the team and organization of the program, will direct and perform technical analysis of waveform programs to determine if they meet government requirements, conduct a proactive role in all acquisition source selection activities of the waveform program, conduct a proactive role in the post-contract award activities for the life of the project, act as a day to day technical manger to the waveform program, and provide expertise in building an acquisition program.

 

Requirements:  Must have an active SECRET CLEARANCEMust have experienced with the DoD acquisition process on ACAT Programs of Record.Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and DoD acquisition policies, procedures and regulations. Minimum of 8 years of experience in communications engineering with a background in data link and a working knowledge of wideband networking waveforms Knowledge of the technical review processes, hardware and software development and test processes, and to develop the best course for a successful acquisition software intensive program.  Strong leadership skills, be able to chair meetings, strong organization skills in putting together IPT teams and must be adequate public speaker.  The ability to prioritize tasks with little guidance and thrive in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. 

 

Education:   

Bachelor?s degree in engineering. Master?s degree in engineering preferred.
