The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Web Developer to join our growing engineering team. This individual will participate in the production of the leading online car enthusiast property by contributing to the architecture and design of the UI, hand-coding HTML/CSS/XML/JS, and integrating graphical/content elements. The position entails close interaction with both technical and business staff and requires a high degree of sensitivity to end user requirements and preferences.

ResponsibilitiesHand-coding web pages using HTML, CSS, XML and JavaScriptDeveloping code in a clean and consistent manner with proper supporting documentationBuilding and maintaining a template structure that is clean, reusable and expandableProactively ensuring that quality of front-end code and UI design are of consistently high qualityCommunicating effectively with team managers and co-workersAccurately estimating project timelines and meeting scheduled milestones

 

QualificationsBachelors degree in related technical field3-5 years of professional HTML/XHTML, XML and CSS production experience2+ years of JavaScript coding experienceExtensive knowledge of relevant W3C standardsSolid knowledge of Photoshop and the creation/preparation of graphics for web deliveryExcellent eye for website usability and practical design considerationsExperience with cross-browser coding, including browser-safe hex palettes2+ years of professional experience with web templating systemsDesire to work in fast-paced team environmentStrong organizational and communication skills
