Skills and Experience required for this position: Experience in supporting Unix/Linux clusters, including basic systems administration scripting, load balancing, and backups in a blended MS Windows environment. Experience in integrating Unix into MS Windows. Experience in supporting MS Exchange, MS IAS, and MS Active Directory with group policies in a MS Windows / Unix environment. Experience in supporting Dell desktops, laptop, and servers. Expert experience in supporting WinXp, MS Office 2003, Visio 2003, and Project 2003. Experience in supporting DHCP, DNS, VPN, RAS, and WLAN. Experience in configuring and troubleshooting EAP Authentication. Experience in configuring and troubleshooting NAT, HSRP, BGP and QoS. Microsoft MCSE-2000/2003. MCSE; minimum 5 years experience as a Windows/Unix Administrator.

 

Job Responsibilities:Day-to-day management of the LAN, emphasis will be on managing locals users file shares, printers, and local applications. Troubleshooting, configuring, implementing, planning, and any other duties required to maintain reliable application servers, switches, routers, and storage networks devices. First level contact for all data/voice issues in local office and will personally manage all escalation issues to other internal or external departments, application owners, or vendors. Manage IT Inventory, tracking, procurement, and distribution within established corporate guidelines. Facilitate requirements gathering for potential new applications or services for local deployment. Position may call for after hours and weekend support. Must be capable of lifting and rack mounting equipment up to 40 pounds.
