Consulting engineering company has immediate need for a Technical writer on a 2 year contract basis for a project based in South Texas. Candidate will have degree / diploma in an engineering discipline with and emphasis in technical writing, 10 years + experience in the development of industrial, college or university technical writing. Experience in the oil and gas industry (LNG in particular) is required. Position will be responsible for development of training manuals for plant operations and maintenance, instructional guides, technical documentation of work methods and procedures, installation, operation and maintenance of machinery and other equipment. Project will include topside facility, GBS, pipeline and tanks for LNG facility. Company offers competitive compensation based on educational background and experience, provides housing allowance, and other benefits.
