BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL

This position is responsible for assisting in business development principally for CTC's Environment and Energy Sustainability market segment, predominantly within Department of Defense, but also other federal clients such as Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency. Responsible for assisting in strategic planning, business capture, proposal leadership, competitive analysis, client relationship development and other duties resulting in capture of new funded awards/programs under existing major base contracts and creating new contract capacity where required.  Occasionally takes the lead for specific business development activities.  Position reports to the Director, Strategic Development and works cooperatively with technical operations and other business leaders in the firm.  Responsible for achieving sales objectives.  Manage sales strategies and pursuits; capture management leadership; assist in determining revenue goals; manage sales opportunity hopper; establish strategic alliances; support operations staff in sales pursuits to achieve revenue objectives; translate marketplace requirements into successful CTC product and service offerings.

The qualified candidate should have a BA/BS or advanced degree. Current professional knowledge and experience in developing environmental, safety, energy, sustainability programs/business within DoD market sector. Knowledge of governmental source selection procedures. Excellent customer relationship development skills. Excellent written (proposals) and public speaking (briefings, negotiation) skills. Demonstrated experience capturing million dollar programs.
