ENTRY & PROJECT MGR LEVEL ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT POSITIONS

ENTRY LEVEL FIELD POSITION

Remediation Group - identify environmental concerns at a parcel of real estate; file review and record searches; prepare reports; and formulate recommendations for corrective action.  Advance soil borings; obtain and field-screen soil samples; install, develop, and sample monitoring wells; complete geologic and aquifer studies; perform soil-gas surveys; and  perform excavation zone assessments. Install and operate remediation systems; perform pilot tests to support remedial system design; oversee tank removals; and decontaminate manufacturing facilities.

 

Supervise subcontractors and communicate with onsite clients and regulators; prepare a Health and Safety Plan; document field activities; write final report; prepare items such as boring logs or well construction diagrams, site plans, photo logs, etc.

 

Compliance Group - prepare permit applications and plans; formulate recommendations for environmental compliance; audit facility operations; design and install various environmental systems (e.g., ventilation, storm water, industrial wastewater); develop and implement SPCC, storm water plans, PPC plans, lockout/tagout plans and any other plans required by environmental or health and safety regulations; and prepare and submit regulatory agency reports. Perform regulatory and technical research.

 

Requires a bachelor?s degree in geology, engineering, environmental science, chemistry, or a related field. Strong computer and verbal/written communication skills are a must. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

 

EXPERIENCED STAFF POSITION (in addition to items listed above)

? Train Field personnel.

? Manage projects less than $20,000 in size including budget, estimating/management, scheduling, field activities, data interpretation, client interaction, and preparing a final report and invoicing.

 

Requires 3 years of environmental consulting experience plus degree.

 

EXPERIENCED PROJECT MANAGER (in addition to items listed above)

? Provide/manage workload.

? Identify work opportunities with existing and potential clients.

? Train field and staff personnel in tasks associated with the project?s scope of work.

? Mentor field and staff personnel through the technical training program.

? Schedule staff and field personnel as appropriate to complete projects.

? Understand regulatory framework for projects.

? Evaluate, select, and schedule subcontractors.

? Develop and maintain a client base by developing working relationships with clients.

? Prepare proposals, budgets, and scopes of work for projects.

 

Requires 5 years of environmental consulting experience plus degree.
