Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality Manager

Brenntag is the worldwide leader in chemical distribution with over 130 years in business. Brenntag Pacific, Inc. has more than doubled in size over this last year. As a result of that growth we are in need of an experienced Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality Manager.

 

Your mission as the EHS & Quality Manager will be to coordinate, direct and maintain Brenntag?s safety, regulatory compliance and quality programs company-wide. You will be expected to foster an environment that proactively ensures the highest standards of safety and health are maintained throughout our rapidly growing company. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Operations.

 

 

In this position you will be responsible for:

 

? Developing and managing a centralized, company-wide process to meet the requirements of all permits and regulatory programs.

? Maintaining a familiarity with local, State and Federal regulations as well as recognized quality systems pertaining to the chemical distribution industry.

? Conducting quality, health, safety and environmental audits of all Brenntag Pacific facilities and select supplier facilities to detect existing or potential compliance concerns.

? As changes occur in the safety program, you will lead the implementation of those changes in the company. As you develop your vision for our improved safety culture, you will also keep a constant eye on our training programs, ensuring that they remain relevant.

? Assisting in the compilation and submission of reports, surveys and audits required by regulatory agencies, vendors and customers.

? Finally, you will assist in the investigation of accidents and injuries and review the preparation of material and evidence for use in developing policies that will ensure that they are prevented in the future.

 

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

 A minimum of 5 years experience in safety, health and environmental management experience, preferably in the chemical industry.In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT,Outstanding analytical and communication skills.Exceptional ability to interface with all levels of staff in a professional manner.Strong administrative skills.Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.Proficient level of skill with Microsoft office products.Ability to speak, read, and write in the English language.Bachelor?s degree preferred.
