Fordham University in Bronx, NY is seeking an experienced professional to join our security team to be involved in the development of fire safety, environmental, health and workplace safety policies, practices and procedures for a multi-faceted environment which includes research laboratories and campus residence halls as well as classrooms and offices.
A strong communicator with a background in fire safety, skill in interpreting engineering drawings and specs, and knowledge of the regulatory and inspection process, the chosen individual will assist the Director of Security with the development and execution of the university emergency management plan. You will also ensure compliance with all local, state and federal level requirements for workplace safety, life safety and environmental safety, as well as investigate and report on safety hazards, air and water quality, and fire protection issues. You should have a minimum of 10 years related work experience, preferably as a ranking NYC Police Department of Fire Department member; we also seek a detail oriented, computer literate individual with excellent organizational skills who can work cooperatively with all University Departments.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
