Environmental Specialist
Summary:
Primarily responsible for management of customer's environmental needs for Pipeline construction projects.
?
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:???
Prepares or supervises the preparation of environmental permit applications, for FERC regulated projects and non-regulated construction projects.
Prepares compliance reports and ensures on-time, under budget project completion.
Interprets environmental regulations and assists in the development of Company guidelines for environmental compliance.
Assists in environmental inspection of Company and third-party construction projects.
Develops, facilitates, and presents training on a variety of subjects relating to environmental compliance.
Job requires 50% or more of travel time.
Must demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company's Ethics and Compliance Code of Conduct, and other Company policies and procedures, and take all required training courses.
Must demonstrate respect for all individuals and adhere to the Company's values and business practices.
Education:???
Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science, Biological Science, or related field required.

Experience:???
Minimum of 5 years of environmental gas industry experience required.
Additional Knowledge,? Skills,? Competencies,? Certifications, and Licenses:???
Knowledgeable in OSHA, EPA, DOT, state, and local regulations.
Knowledgeable in remediation, air, waste, and water projects.
Ability to be self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to be diplomatic.
Ability to demonstrate analytical, organizational, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
Ability to demonstrate skills in conflict resolution and problem solving.
Must be able to take initiative to reason and exercise independent judgment and discretion in dealing with a variety of individuals and situations.
Ability to handle sensitive / confidential information, work effectively under pressure, and practice efficient time management.
Oriented toward team success and willing to accept a variety of assignments as necessary to achieve results.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
Ability to use personal computers with experience in Excel, Word, and Lotus Notes.
Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities and deadlines.
Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary to deal with internal and external parties in person and on the telephone.
Must be able to travel on a regular basis.

Manual dexterity for operating computer and office equipment.
Must be available to travel on a regular basis.
