GCMS Laboratory Technician

TestAmerica, the leading nationally certified provider of outsourced analytical laboratory, air emissions, and indoor air quality testing is seeking a GC/MS Lab Technician in the Bothell Laboratory. This position is a full-time, hourly position. The work schedule for the first position will be Monday ? Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM during the training period. After the training period is completed, the selected candidate will have a work schedule of Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Overtime may be required based upon business needs. The GC/MS Lab Technician reports directly to the Organics Department Manager.

The responsibilities for this position are as follows:Prepare soil samples for volatile organic analysis following the Standard Operating Procedures Load samples onto auto-samplers and measure sample pH Perform miscellaneous duties in support of routine laboratory operations Comply with all Quality Assurance and Health & Safety policies

The qualification for this position are as follows:B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or related fieldPossess strong organizational and documentation skillsMust be detailed, have the ability to communicate effectively, and understand written and verbal instructionsAbility to meet QC criteriaHave a sense of urgency, demonstrate an ability to work in a team environment, and able to work under time constraintsWillingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
