Geologist I (entry level)

Water & Air Research, Inc., a multidisciplinary, employee-owned environmental consulting and planning firm, has an Immediate opening for an entry level Environmental Geologist to work at petroleum and hazardous waste cleanup sites.

This position is an entry level position that involves team interaction with PGs and technician staff. Duties include:
? Supporting well installation, aquifer testing, and related field activities.
? Collecting and handling samples,
? Keeping proper records,
? Maintaining sampling equipment,

The successful candidate will enjoy a mix of field and office duties. Some duties will involve working relatively independently and other duties will be as part of a technical team. Some work will involve overnight stays but not for long periods of time.

Minimum credentials include relevant geology degree with preferably some previous experience in the environmental field.

Previous or related experience in any of the following a plus:
? Sampling Soils and Groundwater
? Organizing and leading teams of field personnel
? Handling Environmental Samples
? Environmental soil, groundwater, and surface water testing.
? Use of computer software to analyze and report technical information.
