Industrial Hygiene Consultant

INEOS Olefins and Polymers USA includes manufacturing plant sites located in LaPorte, Hobbs and Chocolate Bayou, TX and in Carson, Ca. and offices in League City, TX.  The Industrial Hygiene/Safety consultant provides Industrial Hygiene/Safety leadership and support for all O&P sites. 

 

Responsibilities:

Developing Industrial Hygiene/Safety programs to achieve personnel protection and regulatory compliance for O&P sites. 

Monitoring site IH/Safety performance and analyze company wide incident/accident data for trends. 

Develope/revise Safety and Health Policies for sites as requested. 

Assisting sites with development of required safety and health training.

Manage MSDS activities at the two Texas sites

Provide monitoring of changes to health and safety regulation at the local and federal level.

Prepare written regulatory updates for e-mail distribution to O&P sites and other clients for significant changes or updates affecting one or more sites.

Develop protocols and provide guidance for NORM issues.

Assist in compliance audits at sites.

 

Requirements:

 

Minimum 7-15 years Industrial Hygiene experience.

Bachelor?s degree in public health, or other engineering, technical or related field is preferred.

CIH required.

Auditing experience preferred

Previous experience managing Industrial Hygiene programs in petrochemical manufacturing

Ability to function effectively as an internal consultant.

Technical & Functional Skills, including a strong regulatory background

Good written and verbal communication skills

Basic knowledge of computer applications, e-mail and data bases
