JR. AIR QUALITY ENGINEER

 

This position may be in either Oakland or Sacramento.  The successful candidate will be responsible for providing environmental engineering assistance and interfacing with internal and client project managers to support generation of technical data for air permit applications.  Job duties will involve both field and office assignments that include estimating emissions of air pollutants, gathering data required to make such calculations, clearly documenting calculation methodology, and preparation of simple air permit applications.  Additional duties may include assisting senior staff with preparing other environmental permits or in designing or monitoring remediation treatment systems.  Desirable experience includes writing reports for, and meeting with clients and/or governmental regulators, knowledge of relevant governmental regulations, stochiometric combustion air emission calculations, project scheduling and development of engineering cost estimates.  The successful candidate will be expected to prioritize several assignments at one time and be committed to delivering technically sound work products on time and within budget.  EIT preferred; OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER training desirable; valid driver?s license is required.  BS in Environmental, Civil or Chemical Engineering, with 0-2 years experience.
