Laboratory Sampler

We are looking for an entry-level Lab Technician to perform incoming bulk waste and production line sampling, as well as sample preparation and analysis using various analytical techniques. Duties will include operating and maintaining various laboratory instruments in accordance with SOPs. Will perform analytical data entry and laboratory document filings as needed as well as take samples from drums, tankers and production lines - logging in all data. Person will be responsible for preparing and transferring of all product/waste samples and perform required sample analysis. Will monitor all laboratory supply inventories: chemicals, vials, pipettes, glass wares, gas supply, etc.,
report and document drum and tanker analytical results in logbooks and enter in AS400/IMS program. Must have good written and verbal communication skills and able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets and other lab technical documents.REQUIREMENTSHS Diploma/GED with some experience in a chemistry laboratory environment desired. Must have good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets & other lab technical documents.

Must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment. Must be able to work flexible hours and some weekend work may be required for special projects. Must be able to pass 40 hour RCRA/OSHA training, including ability to wear personal protective equipment.
