OUTSIDE SALES PERSON

 

Our client, located in Carlsbad, California, provides piped medical gas and vacuum systems, firestoppoing and fire damper surveys, installation and repair, and duct cleaning services primarily to hospitals, surgery centers and other healthcare facilities located throughout California. They are currently seeking an experienced Outside Sales Person to focus on generating new business in the Southern California area. This position reports to the head of sales and marketing for the company.

 

 

MAJOR DUTIES:

? Identify and follow-up on business?to-business sales leads within the prescribed region.  

? Prepare and present sales proposals to potential clients and close sales.

? Fulfill established sales goals and objectives identified in the sales plan for this position.

? Work with the existing sales support staff to better identify high-potential sales prospects.

? Provide follow-up sales calls to new and existing clients so that additional sales opportunities may be identified.

? Develop and prepare sales reports as requested.

? Present a professional image at all times.

? Some travel is required in this position; primarily in the southern California region.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

? Bachelor?s degree highly desirable but not required.

? Experience in outside sales is required including verifiable experience preparing sales proposals and closing sales. 

?  Must be able to read blueprints for commercial projects.

?  HVAC or other construction knowledge or background is needed for this position.

?  Excellent communication, both written and oral, required.

?  Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills are required for this position.

?  Must be able to use Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
