Pesticides Analyst

There is an opening for a Pesticides Analyst in the Bothell Laboratory. This is a full-time, hourly position. The regular work schedule for this position will be Monday ? Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Pesticides Analyst reports directly to the Organics Department Manager.

The responsibilities for this position are as follows:

? Perform a variety of EPA Methods (8081A, 8082, 8151) by GC/ECD

? Follow detailed preparation and analysis steps according to published analytical methods and

standard operating procedures

? Maintain laboratory documentation, including corrective action, logbook, standard logbooks, and

LIMS

? Report and view data, ensuring data meets quality control criteria

? Ability to communicate bench level needs and observations with various areas of the laboratory,

including Extractions, Project Managers, QA/QC, and Sample Control

? Perform routine maintenance on instrumentation

? Comply with all Quality Assurance and Health & Safety policies

The qualification for this position are as follows:

? Minimum one year GC experience

? B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or related field

? Strong organization, communication, documentation skills

? Ability to meet QC criteria

? Have a sense of urgency and able to work under time constraints

? Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
