Region Human Resource Manager - South Region

VES IS, at its Baytown/LaPorte, TX location, has an immediate opening for the following position:
?Region Human Resource Manager
?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:? (This list is intended to show ongoing primary duties.? Employee may be expected to perform other duties as assigned.)
?
????????? Manage the employee health and welfare programs on Region Level.
????????? Assist VP ? Human Resources in implementing employee life-cycle corporate policies and practices.
????????? Assist in the coordination of the recruitment and selection process, including job posting, resume review, scheduling of interviews, interviewing and selection of applicants.
????????? Manage labor relations and legal issues within Region.? (labor contract negotiations, grievance procedures, EEOC charges, lawsuits, reviewing customer contracts relating to prevailing wage or union agreement, labor audits).? Coordinate with Corporate to address employee relations and unionization issues at all sites within the Region.
????????? Assist in career development activities for employees.
????????? Ensure compliance within region with AA/EEO standards and regulations.? Prepare the annual AAP/EEO reports for region.? May assist in OFCCP audits.
????????? Conduct training activities to ensure delivery of selected training curriculums and certification programs.? Monitor delivery of selected training curriculums - coordinate scheduling and track quality.
????????? Assist in administration of benefit and incentive/bonus programs.
????????? Monitor organization charts and region headcount on a regular basis.
????????? Assist in effective HR practices at all region sites.
????????? Supervise region benefits administrator.
????????? Interface with other Region HR Manager for company wide policy and training.
?
QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational:? Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
Work Experience:? 3 to 8 years of professional experience.
This position requires a strong proficiency in the following knowledge/skills:Minimum of 3 years experience.General knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures associated with fully developed and compliant HR programs.Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.Strong working proficiency in Peoplesoft, Ceridian, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Lotus Notes.Strong organizational and analytical skills.Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
