SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL SUPERVISOR

Safety and Environmental Supervisor with solid knowledge of safety and environmental regulations to develop and implement programs. This individual will have the responsibility for benchmarking and improving the results and success of the programs. The position responsibilities include:

? Implement the corporate environmental management system. Collect environmental data for use in determining root-causes of compliance problems and pollution prevention opportunities. Implement proactive corrective steps.
? Ensure facility remains in compliance with environmental and safety regulatory requirements (such as permits, waste disposal, State and Federal OSHA.)
? Manages activities to ensure compliance with environmental audits, employee safety programs as well as the maintenance of regulatory compliance policies.
? Develop, implement and coordinate a safety program plan to include safety assessment, analysis of occupational injuries, equipment and material, audits and incident investigation, and training programs.
? Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:
? Bachelor of Science degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental and Occupational Science or in any other related field.
? Must have at least 5 years of safety and environmental experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
? Bilingual a must ? English/Spanish
? Strong communication skills both verbal and written
? Ability to analyze data, convey findings and instruct on how to proceed
? Should possess strong interpersonal skills and be teamwork oriented.
? Must be proficient in using MS Word, Excel and other MS Office applications.
