The Opportunity -RMT, Inc. is a leading environmental and engineering consulting firm in the country, ranked 64th by Engineering News Record in 2005. We have been helping our clients solve their most difficult and diverse engineering and environmental challenges for over 25 years. With over 550 employees in eighteen offices in the United States and two international locations, we currently have an opportunity for a Sales Team Leader in our Chicago, IL office.

The Position -The Sales Team Leader will be successful in new client acquisition and further development of existing client relationships at the plant, regional and headquarter level of targeted clients and industries. The Sales Team Leader will be assigned geographically and will support, foster and facilitate RMT offices and or Regions in their day-to-day sales efforts. Primary business objectives are to assist and support Business Managers.

Requirements - Establishing a working sales relationship with Business Managers, supporting a sales vision and direction consistent with the RMT business model and, in support of local sales efforts, including:

Assistance with office sales plan development

Be a participant in and support the review of progress with the plan

Become an extension of the office level sales effort

Work to establish and foster a team sales effort at the office level

Drive the further sales development of office level clients through direct client contact and staff mentoring and coaching. The goal will be to grow local clients and capture follow-on work, expand RMT service offerings, and support RMT value propositions.

Develop and lead the efforts in new client acquisition.

Conduct client sales calls and strategic presentations; teaming with the appropriate project, technical and management staff.

Accountability for a personal sales goal.

Education and Experience -BS Degree in related field; Minimum 7 years experience in environmental related industry with developed knowledge of environmental consulting services. Sales experience at some level.

The individual must be accustomed to working on multiple tasks personally and be persuasive and tenacious in relationships while maintaining professional standards of conduct and strong customer focus. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills must be demonstrated; team oriented and possess a strong work ethic with a high degree of integrity.

Physical Demands-Must be able to travel 50% of time. Must be able to use automobile and plane transportation. Will be required to view potential client work sites such as industrial plants, hazardous waste sites requiring walking and some climbing.
