Stack Testing Technician/Supervisor
Job Purpose:
Evaluates products by conducting performance, environmental, and operational tests. Familiarity with 40CFR part 60 and 75 EPA Methods 1-25A.
Duties:
* Prepares tests by studying test objectives, standards, methods, conditions, and equipment.
* Identifies product capability and reliability by conducting performance, environmental, and operational tests.
* Resolves testing problems by altering testing methods during tests; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
* Documents test outcomes by completing test logs.
* Reports test outcomes by collecting data.
* Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications and regulations.
* Maintains safe test environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Maintains test information data base by entering and backing up data.
* Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
* Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills/Qualifications:
Safety Management, Process Improvement, Statistical Analysis, Analyzing Information, Data Maintenance, EPA Test Methods and Procedures, Quality Source Test Individual (QSTI) a plus.
