As an AVP ? Corporate Education and Development with Gentiva, you will:

? Be responsible for developing and managing the educational strategies and functional activities associated with supporting a 400+ location, 17,000 employee high-growth worldwide leader in Home Health. Critical emphasis will be placed on ensuring outstanding development of our clinicians, support staff and management teams with a philosophical emphasis on quality and associate retention.

? Provide exceptional leadership to a team of educational professionals, both centralized and decentralized, in a manner that creates a working environment that is exemplified by quality and retention.

? Work together with Executive management and other Executive Human Resources team members, define and successfully execute training, education, and executive development strategies and processes for the entire organization with a particular emphasis on clinicians.

? Develop and lead strategies related to the integration of all methods of training and education that relate to; talent assessment, clinician training and development, management development, succession planning and competency modeling, in an environment that is nationally distributed in over 400 locations .

? Continuously reassess the effectiveness and efficiency of learning methods, while keeping informed of changes in the developmental landscape ( both internally and externally) and modify directions and focus as necessary.

? Assess and deliver the most robust tools and techniques that improve the organization?s training and developmental outcomes. These tools include, but are not limited to; web-based education; on-site platform training, the effective use of a distributed internal training network, and self-guided tools, to mention a few.

? Leverage the resources of a nationwide training network internal, which are both part of the training team and other functional areas of the organization.

? Collaborate with business line human resource associates, compliance regulations and line management to develop and execute national, regional and sometimes local educational programs .

? Develop/administer the educational policies/practices/guidelines used throughout the organization.

? Recommend programs that improve the retention outcomes of the organization.

? Develop/initiate the metrics to measure the effectiveness of training efforts and reports to Executive management the level of effectiveness.

? Manage the financial resources allocated to the Education Department


Qualifications

? A minimum of 12-15 years training and educational development experience

? A minimum of 5 years in a leadership/management role in medium to large organizations with distributed employee population

? Ability to transcend the purely process-related aspects of training and focus on delivering outstanding outcomes and results

? A deep and through understanding of what are ?best practices? in a multi-location (professional development ) environment and the ability to translate that understanding into practical processes that create outstanding results in; needs assessment, program/content development and delivery, professional development, distributed training environments, executive development, succession planning and talent assessment

? Skilled and facile in dealing with Executive Management

? Prior experience in Healthcare is strongly desirable.

? A proven commitment to the Human Resources profession through a combination of undergraduate and graduate studies, professional associations and currency in learning and developmental practices is expected.
