Assistant Vice President, Membership Sales

 

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the nation?s leading industrial association, is seeking a dynamic and results oriented individual to serve as Assistant Vice President, Membership Sales.  Based in Greenbelt, MD, this individual will manage staff as assigned with a focus on effective performance management.  Work with Vice President to set sales and retention targets for staff.  Actively manage the staff and the sales/retention processes on a daily bases.  Work with staff to brainstorm approaches when faced with sales/retention problems in a territory.

 

Other duties to include:

 Work with the Vice President in developing business strategies to ensure strong retention and new member sales.  Review and analyze dues data and make recommendations based on findings.  Assist Vice President with the division?s budget and make operational changes enhancing efficiency.

 Develop strategies to effectively exceed sales and retention objectives with a focus on revenue and net gain growth.  Benchmark best practices with other tele-sales operations and utilize the expertise of successful staff members in order to develop innovative approaches for short and long-term growth.

 Develop effective/persuasive oral and written company-specific pre-call efforts and presentations in order to fully maximize dues income.

 Assist the Vice President in developing marketing and strategic plans, training initiatives, retention/acquisition programs and internal sales processes.

 

Qualified individual will possess a Bachelor?s degree in business, marketing or other relevant discipline with 8+ years of experience in a direct sales and/or telephone sales environment.  Experience with ?C? level sales is highly desirable.  Previous experience successfully managing sales staff is required.  Must be able to engage in teambuilding activities and be adept at motivating high levels of stales performance Proficiency with sales software and other computer applications is necessary.  Outstanding communication skills are essential.
