Brand Demand Manager II

The primary responsibility of the position is profitable growth. The Brand Demand Manger will be responsible for P&L derived from all activities that generate specifically identifiable agent prospects and referrals and the subsequent quotes, sales and renewals.

Some of the core job responsibilities include:
- Use existing sources (direct call center referrals, internet referrals, FAA referrals, claims experience referrals, etc.) to maximize prospects, quotes, and sales
- Manage direct mail tests to assess the characteristics of consumers who demonstrate a preference for a local agent
- Test other sources of demand, e.g., web based quotes (CQAR), co-op direct mail, co-op print, etc.
- Develop target market profile of consumers who prefer a local agent
- Create and execute marketing tests that generate new prospects
- Create measurement systems to track prospects, referrals, quotes, sales and renewals
- Work with agency control and corporate finance to create PBL reporting of all aspects of these programs
- Contribute to the design of the new agency consumer web site to optimize capture and measurement of prospects, moving them through to agent referral and closure
- Understand and influence brand communications to support demand executions, e.g., the timing of brand campaigns to coincide with demand efforts, relative levels of investment to optimize yield, etc.
- Determine the optimal experience for consumers and in concert with the Distribution Process group manage the referral network of agents to deliver the experience
- Create agent demand programs that are easy to administer (possibly outsource or self serve for the agent), cost effective, and good consumer experiences

Requirements for the position include:
Experience: Minimum 2-5 years experience as a Progressive GM, PM, or DM, ideally with some or all of that experience on the agency side of the business. Ability to lead/persuade on new initiatives and tests. Already established field credibility a plus.
Education: MBA preferred.

Progressive's Drive Insurance is looking for a Brand Demand Manager in its Brand Department that will be responsible for the following tasks:

I. Model Shopping Behavior/Market Intelligence
a. Increase our understanding of the shopping behavior of auto insurance consumers.

II. Agent Demand Generation
a. Develop a team of PMs and sales to identify and test co-branded media opportunities to increase demand though agents. Key measures will be increases in quote and new business volume.
b. Direct mail testing.
c. Track agent participation and investment.

III. Yellow Pages
a. Yellow pages: Manage our in column and display ad program with agents with the goal of attaining:
* Maximize agent satisfaction as measured by renewal rates.
b. Increase agent participation
c. Optimize response rates.
d. Manage our directory assistance programs

IV. Hire/Develop People
a. Explore specific systems or educational training, if appropriate, for your staff.

Minimum Requirements:

- MBA/Master?s degree followed by 3-5 years of business experience and a demonstrated track record of business decision-making and leadership
- Superior problem-solving, quantitative and analytical skills and proven ability to make data-driven decisions
- Ability to represent Progressive's interests to regulators and other key audiences
- Demonstrated creativity and innovation
- Strong Communication Skills
