The Business Development Manager will be responsible for helping with the development of the corporate business development & partnership strategy; for rallying key internal stakeholders around the strategy; closing and managing successful partnerships throughout the lifetime of these relationships.

This role would suit a self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment; is capable of driving high-level negotiations forming new and developing existing relationships, whether with suppliers, customers and other partners. The ideal candidate is someone interested in shaping and implementing an aggressive strategy and someone who is able to convince external and internal stakeholders of the validity of the approach.

To succeed in this role you will possess a combination of big-picture vision and creativity with detail-oriented execution skills and business savvy.

Responsibilities

?

?????????Be a focal point through which all business development opportunities for the organization can be channeled

?????????Assess acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, technology transfer, new product line development, licensing, partnerships and all new business development opportunities in general.

????????? Develop financial and strategic analyses in support of business plans for new initiatives

?????????Advise the executive team on general key opportunities and actions required to optimize current business and drive growth.

?????????Develop and maintain competitive intelligence knowledge and expertise in a variety of areas such as competitive products, business strategies, industry trends and other developments to ensure that SunPower responds pro-actively to market opportunities and threats.

????????? Work closely with business units and sales regions on competitive analyses to monitor ongoing market activity, identify threats, discontinuities or market opportunities, and ensure that operational plans are aligned for overall success of the company.

????????? Support business units and sales regions through relevant regional opportunities and special projects

?????????Develop opportunities with third party companies to drive co-operative sales, co-marketing and profitable revenue streams.

Related Experience & Educational Requirements

Required

????????? MBA from a recognized business school

?????????Minimum of 8 years relevant experience, including 3-4 years of post-MBA experience, such as a business development function in a similar company or in relevant strategy consulting.

????????? In addition candidates must have at least 3 years of operational business experience.

????????? Minimum 2 years of negotiation and deal making experience.

????????? Strong skills in financial analysis and modeling.

????????? Energetic, forward-thinking and creative attitude.

????????? Vision, sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.

????????? Strong leadership and collaboration skills with an ability to balance and prioritize competing interests and delegate responsibility as necessary

????????? Up to 25% domestic / international travel ? Valid passport will be required.
