Summary of Duties:


This position will consist of preparing and delivering training courses of up to 10 days at Canberra or at customer locations.  Provide hardware/software support to customers. 50% of time spent on hardware/software customer support and 50% times spent on customer training.

 

Education/Training:
 B.S. degree in Engineering, Physics, Math or a closely related field, or 6+ years related application experience and/or experience working with scientific instrumentation or related equipment.  Must be familiar with classroom environment and teaching functions.

Skills/Knowledge:
 

Candidates MUST have:
o Experience with any of the following: Gamma Spectroscopy Instruments, Whole Body Counting instruments, Canberra products or competing products.

o Excellent communications skills
o Good written communication skills
o Good planning and organizing skills.
o Knowledge of theory relevant to Canberra products and courses
o Ability for up to 40% travel
o Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Unassisted
o Knowledge of radioactive source materials, use, and handling practices.


 Previous Experience:
 Three or more years in a technical field.  One or more years classroom teaching experience, and customer support, highly desirable.
