CFO and Interim CFO - Publicly traded Biotech

Our client, a leading biotech organization, has a great opportunity available for an Interim CFO, and shortly a CFO, to help take them to the next level.  They are a public company located in Maryland and have a robust pipeline with promising study results to date.

 

This will be a phenomenal opportunity for a strong Wall Street type with solid and recent SEC experience.

As a critical member of the Executive Committee, the Chief financial officer (CFO) reports to the CEO and is responsible for directing the company?s financial organization, including the treasury, investor relations, and SEC reporting & compliance functions.

 

 

EXECUTIVE RESPONSIBLILITES

 

 
The CFO drives all financial operations, including capital expenditures, working capital & debt levels, taxes, budget, and general accounting.
Develops and implements financial plans to support the strategic business plan
Promotes sound cash flow management policies and procedures
Oversee all financial and operational controls in accordance with public company guidelines
Manage investment community and shareholder relationships

 

 

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking and presentation skills.
Solid working knowledge of investment and capital resource community.
Strong working knowledge of the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, or other closely related research & development intensive industry.
Strong, recent experience in SEC reporting
