COLLECTIONS MANAGER
Collections Manager
Description
Quality Acceptance is a privately owned company that purchases retail installment sale contracts from various types of dealers. Quality Acceptance is a dynamic and growing company in the San Fernando Valley, looking for a top notch manager to Manage a team in the collections department to ensure that delinquent loans are properly acted upon with in established timeframes. Meet or exceed all goals established for delinquency, charge-offs and other departmental objectives as established.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Daily management a staff of collectors.(Attendance work out put, result
review and collector consult, answering technical questions by collectors).
- Develop and implement Collection policies and procedures.
- Assign collection accounts to collectors daily at the beginning of each day.
- Meet and review collection activities with each collector daily.
- Generate and analyze collections and adherence reports daily.
- Manage the collection process to include sending out notices and making appropriate collection calls to collection accounts.
- Responsible for taking the appropriate actions for Over Credit Limit, Accounts Receivable, Write Off accounts, and all collection issues.
- Locate skips as well as collateral.
- Repossessions.
- Problem solve delinquent account for reduction in portfolio of delinquency.
Responsible for the overall operations of the Collections Department
Required skills:
- At least 5 years experience in collections (preferred in the auto Industry)
- A real team leader with good communication skills.
- Good negotiations skills
- Must be able to meet quotas and achieve goals
- Proven leadership skills
- Aggressive, growth oriented
- Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
- Ability to positively adapt to rapid change
- Well developed organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work without supervision
