Director

Robert Half Technology of Bellevue is seeking a Director of ERP. Primary Responsibilities: • Manage ERP department. • Act as central point of contact for ERP needs across the organization to ensure applications are adequately designed, coded, documented. • Act as a liaison to keep communications flowing between QA, development, operations, and business departments through all stages of development. • Work to ensure ERP usability and act as counter balance to the business teams desire to make changes to the applications associated with the ERP code base and the desire to grow revenue. • Hire, fire, promote and demote ERP department staff. Additional Responsibilities: • Spearhead integration of standard development processes into all stages of product development to increase efficiency and decrease costs. • Assist development leads in assessing quality and associated risk. • Assist project team in making go/no-go decisions for the launch of each application. • Provide management with development schedules and progress against schedules for all assigned projects. • Streamline and enhance the development lifecycle to ensure project design, execution, and reporting is effective, efficient, standardized, coordinated, and integrated. • Assist developers in the development of all related documentation, including design documents, use cases and standard metrics. • Build infrastructure and provide training to help developers better diagnose and distinguish between development environment issues, test data issues, and functional defects in their unit tests. • Develop project-specific testing strategies and approaches. Provide regular feedback to developers. • Schedule testing resources to provide adequate development coverage to all projects. • Work closely with QA to ensure that all projects are adequately tested prior to production. • Develop viable options and recommending solutions to address business needs and issues related to the ERP implementation across the organization. .All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Qualifications :
Requirements: • Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant experience. • 8 years experience in software design, development, documentation and database modeling. • Knowledge of ERP and MS Great Plains technologies and the software used to support them including web and database servers, Advanced PeopleSoft Financial Management. • Knowledge of SQL modeling, design and development. • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and writing, in order to present results in an understandable manner. • Ability to write code and perform code reviews. • Expertise developing and implementing multi-tiered applications. • Experience with business process analysis and redesign, and gap analysis skills translating into action plans and resolution of gaps. This position reports to the VP of Information Technology.
