Director of Quality Management

Provide overall direction of Corporate Quality policies and functions across the ARINC Companies. Maintain company ISO 9001:2000 Quality Certification and serve as the ISO Corporate Management Representative. Working with top management, establish and track annual Corporate Quality Goals. Provide internal monthly progress reports on goal attainment, and quarterly goal reports for inclusion in the Board of Directors Reports.

Direct the performance of four functional groups within Quality Management: Corporate ISO Group, Quality Analysis and Reporting Group, Performance Monitoring Group, and the Quality Control and Export Classification Group. Establish, track and assess annual strategic and tactical goals for the groups and their managers. Assure groups are properly staffed to fulfill their assigned functions. Major group functions include: Service Quality Reporting, Customer SLA Reporting; Performance Monitoring of ARINC Air - Ground and Ground-Ground Networks; special quality reviews including Cutover Readiness Reviews, Service Readiness Reviews, and Failure Review Boards; Quality Control Inspection and Stamp Program; Supplier Quality Program; technical classification of ARINC products for Export; all aspects of the ISO 9001:2000 program including processes and procedures, documentation, internal and external audits, corrective/preventive/improvement actions, and management reviews.

Develop and justify direct and indirect cost budgets for the Corporate Quality Management organization. Manage performance against budgets to assure objectives are achieved and budgets are not exceeded.

Lead or support Special Quality Projects including Communication Center Operational Reviews and Performance Review Boards for FAA-defined Deviations and Errors, special system quality analyses such as RM&A predictions and assessments, quality inputs for business unit proposals, CMMI Appraisals, and AS-9100 assessments.

 

Qualifications:

 

Required Experience: Ten or more years in multi-functional activities management. Minimum of 10 years as manager of quality related programs and organizations. Fifteen or more years experience in quality disciplines encompassing quality control, quality assurance, quality test, and quality audit, quality reporting. Must have 5 years experience with ISO 9001:2000 Quality Standard and be a certified lead auditor. Experience in performing and managing quality functions in the data/telecommunications industry (air ? ground, ground-ground networks) is essential. Must have demonstrated excellent oral and written communications and financial management skills. Must also be proficient with MS Office Software suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word. Position requires proven ability to effectively interface with all levels of management, technical, and administrative staff from CEO to the newest employee.
