Director of Radiology

 

Directs the operation of radiological and imaging services, providing inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and/or trauma radiology services, ensuring high quality, efficiency, and responsiveness.Ensures that safety requirements are met for all radiological and imaging services.Manages department finances, including budgeting and control of salary, non-salary, and capital investment expenses.Manages professional and clerical staff, including day-to-day supervision, employee relations, and staff development.Maintains effective and responsive relationships with patients, attending medical staff, and other departments.

 

Qualified candidates will possess:



Exceptional supervisory and managerial experience (there are 75 employees in department, and the Radiology Director will have @ 4 direct reports) leading radiology services in a hospital or healthcare related settingHistory of being relatively current as far as staying up to date with the latest techniques/trends/applications

Minimum 5 years related professional experience, and 3 years management experience in leading radiology services in a hospital or healthcare related setting. 

Capital planning savvy and looks at both short and long term business perspectives for the Department

Futuristic look beyond today?s radiology and where hospital is going as far as strategy, e.g., we are focusing more on bariatric surgery, which means bigger machines due to larger patient population

Excellent customer service skills/orientation/attitude; someone who will serve internal and external customers well

Demonstrated successful financial accountability

Demonstrated successful staffing accountability

Demonstrated success in managing inpatient/outpatient loads
