Director of Sales Operations

This position is responsible for providing the tools, strategy, and sales support necessary to meet/exceed the McGraw-Hill Higher Education sales goal.  Provide strategic direction to support staff and to other service departments to ensure that the essential information, materials, policies, procedures, sales reporting and general support are in place and of the highest quality, allowing the sales process to run efficiently and to ensure customer satisfaction over and above what the competition provides.

 

?Represent McGraw Hill Higher Education interests through active daily participation and decision-making re: information services, distribution, customer service, sales reporting, account set up and editing, comp management, order entry, and trade credit. 

?Direct and manage the sales support staff to provide high quality sales support to sales managers, sales representatives and customers. 

?Direct and manage the large online customers to ensure a timely and accurate receipt of sales information to provide our sales force with up-to-date sales credit.

?Coordinate cross marketing agreements to ensure Business Units are allocated the appropriate revenue based on special considerations controlled and monitored by Financial Support. 

?Approve changes to revenue assignment.

?Coordinate the sales crediting assignment process.


Bachelor’s Degree required.
Minimum 5 years management experience with house accounts and fleet administration.
Background in customer service.
Experience managing and controlling an expense budget for sales support.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High-level teaming and collaboration skills to be applied vertically, horizontally and cross-functionally
Self-motivating with attention to detail, deadline focused and dedication to quality.
Strong knowledge of Oracle.
