EMERGENCY SERVCIES DIRECTOR
Schedule:
Full-time 80 hrs per pay period, day shift 8 am-5 pm, M-F, occasional weekends
Description:
EMERGENCY SERVICES DIRECTOR has responsibility, accountability, and authority for the development and performance of the Cascade Healthcare Community (CHC) Emergency Services.
Maintains reliable and consistent attendance. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of principles, practices, standards and techniques and demonstrates knowledge in accordance with CHC policies and procedures within pertinent laws and regulations in the following areas:
1. Develops operating plan for clinical service; implements and measures success.
2. Provides two-way communication of the CHC mission, vision, values, and strategic plan for the service.
3. Lives, models, applies, and assures that the healing healthcare philosophy permeates all interactions, care, and service.
4. Quality, customer service, and regulatory (JCAHO/ISO/etc.) compliance oversight.
5. Ensures that operations are meeting quality, service, and financial goals.
a. Has ultimate responsibility for performance management by assuring leadership competency in this process.
6. Role models values and leadership behavior.
7. Optimizes physician, partnership, and caregiver relationships.
8. Optimizes regional and community relationships.
9. Leadership development.
10. Responsible for performance of direct reports and annual review.
Requirements:
Education: Masters degree or above required.
Registration: Current Registered Nurse licensure with State of Oregon Board of Nurse Examiners.
Experience: Three to five years in position related experience required. Three to five years management experience required.
Job Knowledge: Expertise in the clinical or business field relevant to the position is required. Thorough knowledge of the regulations governing the areas managed. Must have excellent management and leadership skills. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and oral) are required. Demonstrates an understanding of and passion for the ethic and principles of the Healing Health Care philosophy.
Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills required, including the ability to apply these basic skills e.g. locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages. Must possess the ability to learn intermediate computer skills including use of multiple applications to facilitate completion of work and communication of issues.
