Equity Firm - Financial Analyst

Leading Equity firm is seeking a Financial Analyst

 

Requirements

 Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting4+ years in financial services company/function or 2+ years in Big 4 with Fund Management exp.Prior private equity or hedge fund experience preferredCandidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong Microsoft Excel skills also preferred

 

 Principal Responsibilities

 

o  Review all external financial statements for all funds for quality control and consistency

o  Maintain IRR and performance-reporting models

o  Assist in the completion of the new IRR/performance reporting model

o  Prepare/review quarterly operations reports to limited partners for all of the Funds

o  Assist in the integration of other funds  into the Financial Reporting Group; establish consistencies and efficiencies by drawing upon the strengths of each group

o  Work with the deal teams in preparing the valuation calculations for each portfolio company

o  Assist in the development of presentations to LPs for the Annual Investors Conference, the Advisory Committee presentations, and for internal meetings 

o  Review special reports to investors (?LPs?) as needed for quality and consistency

o  Work closely with fund controllers and the development team in the development and documentation of accounting/reporting policies

o  Provide support (primarily performance and other financial data) to fund management to support fund raising efforts and other special presentations

o  Serve as a liaison between fund management/deal professionals and accounting personnel 

o  Various special projects (time permitting) for fund management, CFO, and legal counsel such as Dashboard Report, Broker Statements, Update, Benchmark Surveys, etc.

o  Assist in the vendor selection and implementation of an on-line reporting system
