Executive Director, Non-Profit Foundation
About the Company
The Life Extension Foundation is a nonprofit, 501(3)c organization whose goal is to uncover the latest integrative therapies to prevent and treat the diseases of aging and aging itself. Incorporated since 1980, the Foundation?s focus has been on funding anti-aging research, uncovering existing research, and making research findings available to the public. In the past 7 years alone, the Foundation has funded over $21 million in anti-aging and suspended animation research. The Foundation is funded primarily through paid memberships for which members receive many benefits from the Foundation and the Life Extension Foundation Buyer?s Club, a for-profit corporation which develops and distributes a premium line of nutritional supplements sold under the Life Extension name.
Position
The Executive Director of the Life Extension Foundation will solely and proactively manage the operations of the organization under the guidance of the Board of Directors and will be responsible for establishing the strategic vision of the organization, designing and implementing plans to fulfill the vision, and executing the tasks to see the vision to fruition. The Executive Director will interact extensively with members of the scientific and medical communities. He/she will also utilize the media to maximize efforts to fulfill the needs of the organization. The Executive Director should be equally able to envision the ?big picture? of the organization and to perform the detailed work needed to get it done ? as sole employee, there will be no staff to hand off the ?dirty work? to, so a willingness to wear many hats is crucial. Position is full-time and located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

?2 Develop successful and substantial fundraising campaigns in a manner which does not alienate those who prefer not to contribute
?3 Establish both strategic vision for the Foundation as well as tactical plan to implement measures to realize that vision
?4 Get ?in the trenches? to do whatever it takes ? from miniscule details to broad planning ? to ensure that the major goals of the Foundation are met
