Executive/Operations Manager
LutherSales Furniture & Appliances, Inc. specializing in easy credit offers a great opportunity for an experienced Executive/Operations Manager to Head our new Corporate Offices in Hauppague, Long Island. LutherSales is a "non-traditional" retailer marketing its services as an employee benefit to Major US Government Agencies, US Armed Forces, Hospitals and Large Corporations. Sales are facilitated through voluntary employee payroll deduction programs and automatic debit. LutherSales operates without any inventory and depends upon its strength in logistics to coordinate deliveries from its National Vendors directly to its customers.
The Executive/Operations Manager must be able to build consensus among his colleagues. He/she must be able to delegate responsibility while maintaining accountability.
Responsibilities:
Manage Order Entry, Open Orders & Customer Service Dept. Transportation & Logistics related to consumer deliveries Manage Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Manage Recovery of Charged Off Receivables Manage all Mail Room Operations Manage the processing of all credit applications Payroll & all HR matters including new hires in Operations Work directly with Outside Accountants and Counsel Maintain relations with our Commercial Lender including semi-annual field audits Evaluate operational productivity with emphasis on streamlining and improving day to day systems Initiate and lead scheduled staff meetings Control costs related to day to day operations Prepare monthly in-house financials for owners with help of Outside Accountants
Requirements:
College Graduate with major in Business preferred Five (5) years of Executive/Operations Management experience Knowledge & understanding of logistics & transportation preferably in household furniture. Strong leadership skills Must be able to multi-task Excellent written/verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast paced, high energy environment while maintaining a calm demeanor Must be able to hit deadlines related to time sensitive materials Must be able to read and understand a financial report Willing to be accountable for the overall performance of the day to day Operations
Executive/Operations Manager will report directly to Owners and will supervise an Operations Staff of 10-13 employees. He/she will shape the face of the Operational staff including all new hires and evaluation of existing staff.
