FSA Manager - Derivative Valuation/Market Risk Specialist (#062368)-007H1

Description Ernst & Young's Financial Services Advisory (FSA) unit is a specialty advisory practice that provides integrated market, credit and operational risk management; operations improvement, business integration, and strategic cost management; and regulatory and treasury advisory services to financial institutions and other capital markets participants. FSA includes individuals who have industry, client and product knowledge as well as quantitative, regulatory, project management and technology professionals. Our teams work together to coordinate the delivery of risk management, regulatory and business performance services to a variety of clients, including commercial banks, investment banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, insurance and energy trading companies, and other organizations.

Responsibilities: Derivative valuation specialists work as members of FSA teams involved in all phases of quantitative advisory and assurance projects including: derivative instrument valuation, model validation, Value-at-Risk analysis, and data and model analysis. Derivative valuation specialists also have the opportunity to analyze, validate and assist in the implementation of quantitative risk management solutions for market, credit, and operational risk. Managers are also responsible for developing and maintaining productive relationships with clients. Other responsibilities include: sales and pursuits; engagement management; engagement execution; and reporting.

Qualifications

To qualify, candidates must have:

a bachelors degree in finance, economics, mathematics, accounting or related field
*

Must have 5 years of relevant experience at an investment or commercial bank, asset manager, insurance company or professional services firm serving financial services clients
*

4 years of relevant experience would be acceptable for those holding a relevant graduate degree
*

must have previous advisory or audit experience with a Big 4 accounting firm, advisory firm or in industry, including a strong knowledge of operational and finance processes, controls and audit practices
*

must have significant project management experience
*

must have risk measurement process analysis and/or design experience
*

must possess knowledge of derivative valuation models for fixed income, foreign exchange, commodity, and credit derivatives is required
