General Manager for a Contract Manufacturer (Sheet Metal)

Our confidential client located in the San Luis Obispo, CA vicinity is searching for a General Manager for their $35MM manufacturing facility. As General Manager, this person will be a critical member of the corporate business team and will have direct accountability to the parent company CEO.  The parent organization is private equity backed and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing his/her division to corporate objectives.  These objectives include, but are not limited to: growing revenue, driving cost reduction initiatives, cross-integrating divisional functions, managing the business unit P&L, developing and executing a strategic vision.  The ideal candidate will be someone who has successfully managed a $25MM P&L while supervising over 200 employees for an industrial products organization or contract manufacturing organization. 


The successful candidate will: Successfully manage the Divisional P&L.Foster creativity and innovation within the division team. Supervise/Hire/Promote/Terminate staff as needed to meet objectives. Work as a key member of the executive corporate team in the strategic planning process, with a primary focus on achieving the objectives set forth for your division.Grow revenue organically while reducing customer concentrations.Drive cost reduction initiatives through engineering redesign, vendor management, manufacturing initiatives.improve EBITDA. Have hands on role with managing the business.  Champion quality initiatives internal and throughout our supply chain.Support corporate integration opportunities to reduce costs. 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: B.S. Degree in Engineering or related fieldM.B.AQuality / Cost Reduction / Manufacturing / Sales / Engineering experience required.Experience managing a $25MM (contract manufacturing) P&L with 200+ employees.Excellent time management skills/communication skills.Ability to work well with both internal and external resources.Results driven

DESIRED:

? Experience working with Private Equity backed companies. 

?  Experience as a Plant Manager/Engineer/Sales Executive working in a Precision Sheet Metal organization.
